Vacancy: 2D CAD Design Draughtsperson

Ajax Equipment Ltd, Bolton, is a specialist manufacturer of solids handling and processing equipment with over 40 years experience in the design and manufacture of screw based equipment for a wide range of organisations involved in food and confectionery processing, pharmaceutical, fine chemicals and all industries using bulk solids at both a wide range of scales.

Position:
A full time CAD Draughtsperson/Engineer with technical development and superb opportunities to work on a wide range of mechanical design projects. This position is with a highly successful and developing company, so it’s a thriving, busy and enjoyable environment to work in, producing design layouts, general arrangement and detail drawings and includes:
  • Preparing 2D AutoCAD drawings of new products
  • Production drawings to modify and improve existing products
  • Provide design assistance to product development and in solving design challenges
  • Create and maintain supporting documentation including assembly drawings, IOM manuals and equipment technical files
  • Occasional site visits
To apply you should have:

  • Academic or time served background in mechanical engineering
  • Professional experience of using AutoCAD LT
  • Knowledge/experience of manufacturing techniques
